Program Officer, CNI SBSS Delhi
The Synodical Board of Social Services (SBSS) is the development and justice board of the Church of North India (CNI). The objective and the purpose of the Church of North India is to proclaim by word and deed the gospel of Jesus Christ. CNI SBSS’s program is guided by promoting social, economic, and social inclusion for the most disadvantaged, irrespective of caste, creed, or color.
Job Type: Full-time – Contractual
Category: Female, Stationed at: Head Office, New Delhi, CTC: Rs. 60,000/- PM
Educational Qualification: Post Graduation in Rural Management or in related fields.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in designing and implementing Food Security, Nutrition programs, and peace initiatives along with experience working in faith-based organizations.
General Criteria: Age limit 32 – 40 yrs. The candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong writing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Desirable: Experience in budget management, proposal writing, Donor reporting and working with Government Departments, understanding of social security net.
Languages known: Excellent communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
Role & Responsibilities:
Programme Monitoring, Management, and Development Support
- Planning and budgeting, disbursal of funds, and managing timely and quality implementation of projects by implementing partners. Maintain up-to-date accurate records on all program activities
- Contribute to the implementation of effective monitoring, review, and evaluation strategies and activities for programs against agreed deliverables
- Work with other members of the programs team in preparing and submitting program and other reports (workshop reports, quarterly/Half yearly and Annual reports, and review and planning reports) on a timely basis, as required for internal and external use
- Strategizing processes by identification of critical issues of conflict, supporting partners on issues resolving on DNH (Do no Harm) Model
- Review 6 monthly and annual narrative reports on program implementation from the field and provide feedback
- Provide capacity building and handholding support to the implementation team on different themes, peace Building, and PME systems
- Review 6 monthly/ annual narrative reports and financial reports from the field area provide feedback and finalize the reports for submission according to the donor needs
- Support Communication and Documentation Coordinator in donor reporting against result indicators monitoring framework
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen effective relationships between networks at the state and national level

Role & Responsibilities:
- Record expenditures and receipts related to the office on a day-to-day basis and prepare daily vouchers
- Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring the same
- Assist in monthly monitoring of accounts
- Prepare payment vouchers, record expenditures; receipts, and payments on a daily basis; and monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Assist in preparing monthly expense reports and detailed reports in the prescribed formats
- Coordination and preparation for audit
- Provide guidance regarding day-to-day accounting, Purchasing, and standard practices
- Liaise with the bank, income tax department, and other concerned authorities
- Maintain payroll

Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors or Master in Commerce with knowledge of Accounting & book-keeping
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting & book-keeping preferably in the NGO Sector
- Trained and skillful in Tally ERP – 9
- Knowledge of Budgeting, SOP, Audit, Taxation, FCRA and general proficiency in computers is a must.
- Candidate having experience of working in faith-based organization will be given priority.
